HISTORY
I am a full-time freelance translator passionate about writing, communication and new technologies. After living some years in Ireland and Italy, where I had the chance to fully understand the nuances of my working languages, I realized that I could serve as a bridge to other people and open access to other countries and cultures, promoting mutual understanding. So, in 2004 I received my Degree in Translation and Interpreting from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and, after a year working as a proofreader and interpreter in different areas, I was hired to work as a Translation Project Manager by a local IBM partner.THE BIG CHANGE
For more than 3 years, I managed large localization projects from beginning to end, and coordinated and monitored translator and tester groups. Also during that time, I was designated to conduct many software tests (translation verification testing and design verification testing) at the Translation Services Center of IBM in Barcelona. In short, it was in this position where I had the opportunity to get to know the details of software localization, I learned how to handle key tools and I gained the ability to meet tight deadlines. Some time later, after more than 2 million words translated and hundreds of hours of software verification behind me, I decided to embark on a new change and I became a freelance translator taking advantage of all I had learned. Since 2008 I work as a full-time freelance translator for individuals and companies from all over the world with the same enthusiasm as the first day.MISSION
I translate from English and Italian to Spanish and Catalan, my mother tongues, and I always try to give the words the value they deserve. My customers keep coming back for more and that will be my goal if you hire my services. To that end,
YOU create, I translate. It really is that easy!
